Code of Conduct Banks and Clients
Code of Conduct in Relations between Banks and Clients ("Code" hereafter) was released by the Czech Banking Association by the end of the year 2005. The Code brings a significant extension of the rules for mutual relations of banks and clients, specified so far in a CBA Ethical Code and puts emphasis on the client rights definition. Notwithstanding the fact, that the CBA cannot identify itself with all suggestions by the Ministry of Finance, a number of them is reflected in the Code in a clearly structured form.
The Code was prepared in the CBA standing working bodies and professional commissions and endorsed by the CBA Board. Now it is discussed with the representatives of the consumer associations and the final comments from the member banks are expected. Immediately after an adoption of the final Code version the CBA invited all member banks to accede to the Code and to declare this decision in public.
Code of Conduct in Relations between Banks and Clients was updated on 23 July 2007.
